Who can host a Women’s Golf Day event?
Practically every location that offers golf or golf-related products and services can host an event on Women’s Golf Day! Here are some examples of businesses that have hosted Women’s Golf day events in the past:
- Golf Resorts
- Public Golf Courses
- Semi Public Golf Courses
- Private Golf Courses
- Country Clubs
- Golf Stores
- Driving Ranges
- Mini Golf/Putt Putt
Location Requirements & Format
These requirements are mandatory for locations to both be an official Women’s Golf Day location and the privileges that comes with it such as using our name, logo, marketing materials, and affiliation of any type.
- Locations are required to register with us to host an event.
- Locations are required to send participant information from their event to Women’s Golf Day in spreadsheet format including, but not necessarily limited to, names and email addresses within 7 days of the event.
- Locations must have two hours of golf-related activity and two hours of socializing.
- Golf activities can be playing 9 holes, lessons, chipping & putting, product demos, et al so long as the sport of golf is being actively played.
- The socializing can include drinks and food at the bar/restaurant, informational talks, corporate networking, pro shop discounts, and more.
- Locations can host a free or paid event. 100% of fees collected will go to the location.
- Locations are required to market and promote their event through their website, social media, newsletters, flyers, etc.
Golf Course Format
Below are standard formats for two different types of locations. These are suggested formats only and you can change, improvise, and improve your event within the stated requirements.
Two Hours of Golf – Lessons or 9 Hole Play
(Example Time: 4-6pm)
Participants have the option of:
2 hours of lessons – One hour on the driving range and One hour chipping and putting
or
2 hours of play – A 9-hole scramble or play their own ball as long as the round can be completed in two hours
Two Hours of Socializing
(Example Time: 6-8pm)
Socializing, networking and distribution of information regarding lessons, league play, ways to get involved in golf. Please include as many people and organizations from your community that are involved with golf who can contribute to the event. In some locations there will be a speakers, women’s golf teams from the closest university or high school, corporate networking groups etc.
Off-Course / Retail Format / Driving Range
Four Hour Experience
(Example Time: 4-8pm)
Up to four hours of basic instruction and lessons and socializing. Women and girls will rotate and try driving in the simulators or driving range and chipping and putting on the putting greens. Review basics like holding the club and set up position. Have a putting contest and a driving contest.
Socializing, networking and distribution of information regarding lessons, league play, ways to get involved in golf. Please include as many people and organizations from your community that are involved with golf who can contribute to the event. In some locations there will be speakers, women’s golf teams from the closest university or high school, corporate networking groups etc.
